According to Moses Atewogboye, the West Africa Commercial Manager of Ecobasic Seed Company Limited, Nigerian farmers must prioritize the use of quality seeds to achieve food self-sufficiency in the country.

Mr Atewogboye, Manager, West Africa Commercial of the Ecobasic Seed Company Limited, emphasized the need for Nigerian farmers to adopt the practice of planting appropriate and high-quality seeds to meet the food demand of over 200 million population.

During the two-day workshop in Kaduna, Mr Atewogboye, addressed the press and highlighted the significance of Nigerian farmers embracing the cultivation of suitable and superior seeds to ensure food production meets the needs of the growing populace.

At the capacity building programme for Seed Companies in the North, Mr Atewogboye, stressed the importance of Nigerian farmers adopting the habit of planting correct and high-quality seeds to achieve self-sufficiency in food production. He also emphasized the need for awareness and education on distinguishing between seeds and grains among farmers to enhance the productivity of the seed industry.
